Typography & love letters

My friends back in Pittsburgh: Matt, a tattoo artist, and Laura, a photographer, are a couple. For so many years they were only 2, then they multiplied. Two babies. Now they are 4, two of them: adorable little girls.

At home, they have art all over their walls. The first time I walked into their home, before the younglings came, I noticed one framed piece, it stuck out …it said, “I have always known it was you.” Simple font in white over black, framed.

Inspired by the simplicity of the piece and multiplicity of younglings, I went through some famous love letters and poems for lines that could be framed the same way. I collected quotes and used almost the same typography style, just to extend the idea of poetic, unconditional, simple, love. Here are three of them. Message me if you want a print or any typography, personalized even. Send me your favorite quote from a love letter, I’ll make you a personalized typographic poster.

“You have touched me more profoundly than I thought even you could have touched me-my heart was full when you came here today. Henceforward I am yours for everything.”

– Elizabeth Barrett Browning to Robert Browning

“(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens;only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands”

– e.e. cummings
