El Camino: Design & Animation for a play

Client: Hiyawatha Project
Project: Camino, a play written and Directed by Anya Martin
Role: Video artist, designer, animator
About this Project: Hiawatha Project’s “Camino,” adds a “what if” scenario to Arizona’s SB 1070 becoming a national standard. For the play, I designed a series of screens and pretend software that tracks the characters on their journey as the play happens on stage. This project is something I would love to do more of, I enjoyed imagining the kinds of software fictional government spies would use to track people, how the narrative would work the the interface. We wanted a cheap PC-style software look. Also, please note that I called the browser “Ice Cat” instead of Firefox. Tee hee.

The desktop was meant to show the audience all of the different ways the characters were being tracked by "GPS."
